JobFenster – Exciting Insights into Job Profiles

First-hand testimonials, current projects from day-to-day practice, and substantive dialogue are the focus here. Once per semester, students have the opportunity—in small groups—to learn about potential career fields and, in a relaxed setting, exchange views with company representatives who share a similar academic background about specific tasks and requirements.

The idea for JobFenster arose because we wanted to offer a format tailored to STEM subjects. Students from these disciplines often feel out of place at career fairs or other recruiting events: they want technical exchange, ideally in a relaxed atmosphere. Yet at career fairs, a company’s various specialist departments are usually not represented, and the large number of visitors rarely allows for in-depth technical discussions.

JobFenster makes exactly this possible—an exchange on equal footing. Company representatives with academic backgrounds similar to the target group report on their career paths, concrete responsibilities, and challenges. We are happy to arrange a get-together during the event.
