CareerDays – The Workshop Weeks of the University of Bayreuth

The CareerDays are the workshop weeks of the University of Bayreuth, serving as a platform for intensive exchange between companies and students – where theory meets practice. Direct access to highly motivated students supports companies in their recruiting efforts, while students gain in-depth insights into current challenges and decision-making processes directly from companies.

Once per semester, our students have the opportunity to work together with employers from a wide range of industries on exciting, practice-oriented topics. Through workshops and case studies, students and company representatives get to know each other in depth. These workshops often form the basis for a later career with the employer of choice, and it is not uncommon for interns, trainees, or young professionals to be recruited directly from them.

Your advantage? Students apply for a spot in your workshop, and you decide whom you would like to meet. You are also free to design the workshop content.

Why should you participate in the CareerDays?

Would you like not only to meet students who applied for your workshop and whom you have selected, but also to exchange ideas with them intensively? Would you like to gain direct insight into their working methods, skills, and mindset? Then participating in our CareerDays is exactly the right choice for you!

The target group of the CareerDays includes students, doctoral candidates, and graduates who are interested in the respective workshop topic and employer. You can either keep the target group broad or define it precisely. You determine the criteria:

• Are there specific field(s) of study you want to address with your workshop?
• Are subject knowledge or practical experience required (semester level, initial professional experience)?

CareerDays Package

You have the choice: Would you like to host a full-day workshop including a networking lunch, or a half-day case study without lunch? Do you prefer an in-person format or a virtual one?

For virtual workshops, catering is not included. In addition, your company profile will be published on the CareerDays homepage.

Your company profile on our website

Would you like your company profile to be permanently featured on the University of Bayreuth Career Service website as a partner company? We will display your logo, a short description of your company, and a link to your website or career page for one year.

One-on-one meetings with selected students on campus

On the event day, we organize one-on-one meetings with students you select in advance from the applicant pool. We handle all organizational tasks, including rooms, scheduling, and communication with the students.

In the virtual format, we organize one-on-one meetings with students you select in advance from the applicant pool. We manage the entire process, including scheduling, communication, and hosting the meetings via Zoom/MS Teams.

CareerDays Social Event

After your workshop, or as a pre-event, we are happy to organize a CareerDays Social Event for you and your participants – such as a CareerDays Dinner or a get-together. Catering costs will be billed separately. Do you have another idea? Let us know.

Advertisement in the CareerDays or CareerWeeks folder

Place an image ad in the CareerDays or CareerWeeks folder to draw targeted attention to your company! You can choose between inside pages, inside covers, or the back cover. Availability is limited.

Job postings in our Job Portal

Publish job postings for 3 months in the University of Bayreuth Job Portal, starting 4 weeks before the CareerDays application deadline. The package includes the publication of 2 full-time positions (entry-level or trainee) and 2 internships/student assistant positions.

Premium Workshop Package

Would you like to combine several additional offers? Then book the Premium Workshop Upgrade. This includes the following add-ons: CareerDays Social Event, company profile on the Career Service homepage of the University of Bayreuth, and the publication of 2 full-time positions and 2 internships in the Job Portal of the University of Bayreuth for the event.
