Small Contribution, Big Impact: The Deutschlandstipendium

Since 2011, the University of Bayreuth has been supporting talented and socially committed students through the Deutschlandstipendium. What makes it special: half of the funding is provided by the German government, while the other half comes from foundations, associations, private individuals, and companies. In this way, sponsors take on social responsibility and accompany young people on their journey. The result is a vibrant network that opens new perspectives for everyone involved. Investing Together in the Leaders of Tomorrow

Private sponsors and the German government each cover 50% of the scholarship funding. Every contribution counts. Once the University of Bayreuth has raised €1,800, the government doubles the amount. This allows us to award one Deutschlandstipendium with a total of €3,600 per year. The recipient receives €300 per month, enabling them to focus fully on their studies. At the University of Bayreuth, all contributions are pooled. We manage both the application process and the ongoing support of scholarship holders. Interested students apply directly to the University of Bayreuth.

Get Involved with Just a Small Contribution

Would you like to become a sponsor at our university? With a funding contribution of €150 per month or €1,800 per year (full scholarship), you can play a key role in supporting outstanding students in Bayreuth. You can also opt for a partial scholarship (variable contributions under €1,800). These contributions are pooled via the University Association Bayreuth e.V. until a full scholarship is reached.
